Ellie Moore

Manager

Ellie joined Abberley Preschool in 2022 and has over 13 years’ experience of working within nursery and preschool settings, managing outstanding private day nurseries and early years settings since 2017. As Abberley Preschool Manager, Ellie is also our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and is paediatric first aid trained. As a mum of 2 children, Ellie is passionate about children and having the opportunity to impact their early years, strongly believing that this is the most important stage of their lives. Her driver is helping children gain confidence so they learn to love education and the world around them, offering praise and helping children to try new things and in return seeing that spark in their eye.

Ellie holds a BA (Hons) in Primary Initial Teacher Education: Early Years. She also holds qualifications in teaching modern foreign language in early education and teaching children’s yoga.

Tara McAdam

Deputy Manager

Tara joined Abberley Preschool in 2019, as an Early Years Apprentice. Thriving in her role over the last 5 years, from September 2024 Tara will be Abberley Preschool’s Deputy Manager taking over the role from Sara. Tara is also our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and Special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) (Laura from September 2024), she is also trained in paediatric first aid. As a mum of 2, Tara loves being part of each child’s journey of development, watching them grow and helping them become ready for school.


Tara holds a Distinction - Level 3, in Early Years Education.

Upasana Rai

Early Years Supervisor

Upsana’s passion for children and for Abberley Preschool shows by the fact she has been at the Preschool since 2002! As an Early Years Professional Upsana has many skills and interests which she leverages for the children in her care, including reading, cooking, singing, and gardening. As a mum of 3, Upsana’s passion is seeing children’s happy and smiling faces every day, watching their personalities develop and nurturing their full potential.

Updana holds a Level 3 Diploma in Preschool Practice, Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding.

Laura Lammas

SENCO (from September 2024)

Laura joined Abberley Preschool in May 2024 after running her own successful business in the local area. From September 2024 Laura will be our SENCO, taking over from Tara and she steps into the Deputy role. A mum of 3 Laura’s focus is on helping children to flourish, showing their full personalities and being happy.

Laura holds a BTEC Level 3 in Years Years and is safeguarding and paediatric first aid trained.

Sarah Savage

Early Years Level 3 Apprentice

Sarah joined Abberley Preschool in 2023 following a career in social care. Being a mum and stepmum Sarah loves hearing the children’s stories of their families, friends, and the new things they’ve done and places they’ve been, she’s passionate about seeing them progress across all their goals, big and small.

Sarah is studying for her Level 3 in Early Years and has training in safeguarding and paediatric first aid.

Samantha Collett

Early Years Level 3 Apprentice

Sam joined Abberley Preschool in 2023. As a mum of 3 she works hard to help the children grow and loves seeing the smiles on their faces and how proud of themselves they are when they achieve something new.

Sam is studying for her Level 3 in Early Years and has training in safeguarding and paediatric first aid.

Grace Potts

Grace is new to Abberley Preschool. She has joined with a desire and drive to help children develop their imagination, to thrive and to have fun!
